Before I get started, I'll let you know that the damage is very, very minor and I'm not pressing charges even though I have their plate number.
And so, I'll lead off with said damage and then get to the story:
(Tilt your monitor back to see the scuffs better on the first one there.)
"Now, how did this happen?" you curiously inquire. "Shut up," I tell you, "I'm getting there."
It all started when I was driving to work. Being that I work in a mall and today is Friday, there were a considerable amount of cars already there. Being that I work in the movie theater, my section of the lot was the most crowded. Well, I didn't want to park on the ramp of the garage since my tank was low and I was worried it would all settle on the wrong side. The only other space that wasn't handicapped or a quarter mile away? It had half of a car in it. Well, I used it anyway.
(Notice that those hash marks have been blacked out.)
Now, I'll put this right up front: Yes, they have a handicapped tag. However, if this bad parking was due to their handicap, then they shouldn't be driving at all. If their handicap made it more difficult to climb over the center console, that's a good learning experience: now they certainly know to park between the lines next time. Letting this slide just because they're disabled is condescending and even offensive to some people; my uncle is in a wheelchair and he is perfectly capable of parking correctly. He's ALSO perfectly capable of climbing over the center console. It would only annoy him as much as it would annoy anyone else.
Back to the matter at hand, though... How did they hit me? If they swung out to the right, they could probably turn the wheel all the way over and not hit anyone. They obviously went straight back for a bit and then swung left into my quarter panel. (It wouldn't have been a later car. Look how much space I left on that side.) So was this some sort of petty revenge that only did them as much damage as it did me? Or is this someone who really needs their license revoked before they hurt someone or themselves?

That's really light damage...almost thinking it came from the squeezing in between the cars with a bag and the zipper dragged or something.
Also, Escort looks so tiny!

I doubt anyone could really fit between, and if they could, they'd be pretty dumb to think that the door could open. I'm guessing it was a very light brush up on their way out without even putting any real pressure on the cars. Something too light to feel. If they DID feel it, though, screw them for not leaving a note.
The higher scuffs are probably from someone leaning on the car later, though. Or brushing against it with a leather bag or jacket.

My previous flatmate came out of Wal-Mart once to find his side mirror sitting on his hood. No note.
Some people.
